Carmarthen Amateur Operatic Society is the oldest musical society in Wales and the second oldest in the United Kingdom.

The Society is a registered Charity (1106294).

It produces one major musical a year as well as concerts etc. Membership of CAOS is for 12 months and is £30.00 for Adults and £15.00 for Children, which is due on the 1st rehearsal.

Anyone can join the society as long as they are over 18,
Children* can join too, as some shows do call for younger people. If the musical production does not require children, then concerts and various events are held during the year for them to perform in.

Rehearsals are once to twice a week, a small charge is made of £ 2.00 to cover the rehearsal cost per evening or day

Tea, Coffee and Soft Drinks are available at the rehearsal venue.

A Staging fee of £ 20.00 is due prior to the week of production.

*Children joining the society are reminded that it is an adult society and sometimes they wll not be able to perform in certain productions.

CAOS is a member of NODA and WAMF and has a Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity Policy and a Child Protection policy in force.
